Lake Mashu Scenic Trail is a pleasant hiking route in any season of the year. Now the wildflowers have begun to bloom on the trail and you can enjoy many kinds of alpine flowers until September.
Please note that the 1.6 km trail from Mt. Nishibetsu Junction to the summit of Mt. Mashu is currently closed due to a mudslide that occurred in May.
