Please read carefully before booking. With the confirmation of the tours, we assume you acknowledge all conditions mentioned below. Thank you.
Assumption of Risk
Please be advised that all activities are undertaken entirely at your own risk, and you must behave in a fit and proper manner at all times in accordance with our guides’ instructions. All tours and outdoor activities carry inherent risks and we do not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers or caused by factors outside of human control.
With the confirmation of the tours, you acknowledge that:
- By their very nature, hiking and kayaking tours have certain levels of risk, including injury.
- Additional danger and risks associated with those tours may consist of extremes of weather, including sudden and unexpected changes.
- You must follow our guide’s instructions.
- You accept the inherent and increased dangers and risks associated with the tour and the accompanying risk of injury or property damage or loss.
Alteration or Cancellation of the Tour
In order to assure the safety of our customers and guide, we reserve the right to cancel, modify, or substitute any hiking/kayaking route in case of adverse weather, or any other hazardous conditions.
If we cancel the tour before the tour begins, no tour fee is applied. However, if we cancel the tour or modify the hiking/kayaking route during the tour, there will be no refund of the tour price.
Health and Fitness
If you have a medical, physical, or mental condition, you must disclose this to us by providing accurate information upon booking. You are also obliged to inform us if a medical condition changes after your booking and before the date of the tour.
We reserve the right to cancel, modify, or substitute any hiking/kayaking route according to a customer’s health condition before or during the tour. During the tour, if the customer is deemed to require medical attention or treatment, necessary measures may be taken and the cancellation fee and the costs incurred for these measures will be borne by the individual customer.
Disclaimer
We will not be held liable for any losses or damage of personal belongings incurred by the customers or by natural disasters or other reasons beyond our control.
Common incidents for kayak tours are dropping a camera or a cell phone into the lake.
If our guide or other participants suffer willing or negligent damage by the customer, we will claim compensation for those losses from the customer. (ex. damage to provided gear, guide’s car, or loss or damage to another participant’s property.)
Travel Insurance
Having travel insurance that covers accidents or injuries on your tour including loss of personal belongings and other unforeseen circumstances is highly recommended.
There are cases in which medical expenses during a trip in Japan can add up to a high amount. The best option is to purchase insurance in your country before your trip.
We also recommend that you look for an insurance agency that includes telephone interpretation support.
For your reference, here is an option for insurance that can be purchased after entering Japan if you didn’t get your own insurance before you arrived.

Change of Booking
Please inform us in advance of any changes to your reservation. If the number decreases, we regard it as a cancellation. If the number increases, we may not be able to accommodate you.
Regarding cancellation, please refer to the “Cancellation Policy”.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your booking, please contact us as soon as possible, and by 3:00 pm on the previous day of the tour at the latest. There will be no cancellation fee at this stage.
If you need to cancel your Kayak Tour booking, please contact us 3 days prior to your tour date. For Kayak tours, the following cancellation fees will be applied;

Cancellation of a tour by YUKI Travel Service due to bad weather or any other hazardous conditions or unforeseen reasons:
- If we cancel the tour before the tour begins, no tour fee is applied, but if we cancel the tour or modify the hiking/kayaking route
during the tour, there will be no refund of the tour price. - If we need to cancel the tour, we will inform you by email by the morning of the tour.
Use of Imagery
We reserve the right to use photographs or videos taken during our tour for promotional purposes. Please let us know at the time of booking if you have any objections to us using your image.
