Cherry salmons are working hard!

Cherry salmon return from the ocean to the river where they were born during the summer. Here at Shari River, they try to jump over the 2.5m high waterfall called “Sakura no Taki”. At the end of June their bodies are silvery and in August they turn cherry red. They lay their eggs in September and pass their lives on to the next generation.
