Who’s your guide?

Hello. My name is Yukiko Kobayashi founder of YUKI Travel Service. I love traveling, hiking,
kayaking and being in nature! I would love to share the great experiences in the Mashu Kussharo region, a major part of Akan-Mashu National Park and the surrounding area with you!

Here is a bit of my background:
I was born in the busy city of Tokyo, but I had a desire to learn English, so I backpacked through the countryside of Europe, Australia, and New Zealand in my youth. After completing my studies in Japanese Folklore, I traveled to many different countries for both business and leisure. I had a long career as a Human Resource Business Partner in a foreign affiliated company, but I decided to leave my hectic life in Tokyo and follow my dream of living in a small town. In 2015, my husband Fuyuki and I moved to Teshikaga in Hokkaido with a population of only 6,700. I worked for the local government and the ministry of the Environment in Akan-Mashu National Park and then became an English-speaking nature guide in order to introduce this beautiful region to travelers from around the world.

Let’s have a great adventure together and make long lasting memories!
